Description

Frank “Home Run” Baker (d.1963) led the AL in homers for four straight years with a grand total of forty-two round-trippers. He earned his nickname by clubbing game changing home runs in games 2 and 3 of the 1911 World Series as part of the Philadelphia A’s first dynasty. Presented is a Baker signed cut which has been adhered to a 3x5 index card. Baker’s distinct (“9”) strength signature has been applied in blue ink by ballpoint pen to a 3 x 1/2" section of lined notepaper which is centered on the aforementioned index card, well suited for matting and framing. Full photo LOA from JSA.
