Rife with October rarities, the 1920 World Series was the last to feature two franchises that had never before made a Fall Classic appearance. And (with the exception of the 1966 showdown), this was the last in which the lead never changed hands. Thus, it’s only fitting that this full press ticket is a decidedly scarce survivor from that memorable event. Encapsulated and assessed “Authentic” by PSA, this voucher is the lone graded specimen. Issued by the Brooklyn Dodgers (interchangeably known as the “Robins” in tribute to skipper Wilbert Robinson), this “Upper Tier” Press Ticket features the facsimile signatures of Dodgers President Charles Ebbets and Treasurer Steve McKeever. There are handwritten identifiers on the obverse and pre-printed directions to the Flatbush-based venue on the reverse. This item has a reserve (estimated value $2000-$2500).
