Description

Fittingly dubbed “The Walking Man,” third baseman Eddie Yost paced the league in bases on balls six times. The feared leadoff hitter wore and signed this Washington Senators road jersey during the 1949 season. The gray flannel button-down garment features “W” sewn to the left breast in blue felt and “7” sewn to the back in like fashion. An “A.G. Spalding & Bros.” label and size “44” tag reside within the collar. The left front tail is home to Yost’s blue marker autograph (“4” strength) and stitched identifiers reading “E Yost 49.” Full photo LOA from JSA.

The all-original jersey has no repairs or alterations and shows moderate wear. Blue piping lines the collar and button path and there are six holes (as tailored) under each arm to facilitate ventilation.

The JSA full photo LOA is for the autograph only.
