Under the strict guidance of skipper Ted Williams, the Washington Senators second incarnation attempted (in vain) to repeat the franchise’s only winning campaign in 1970. These (2) souvenirs were issued that year and are well-preserved and scarce survivors from just before the club’s demise. Includes:
Scarf silk-like fabric measuring approximately 13-1/2 x 13-1/2”, the scarf features a colorful team logo surrounded by facsimile signatures that include Nelson Fox, John Roseboro and Ted Williams (the exact count is uncertain, as some appear partially, going off the edge).
Beach Ball an inflatable baseball-themed souvenir with red “laces,” a “Schaefer” Beer ad and facsimile signatures of 1970 Senators principals. This colorful item presents beautifully and inflates completely.
