A momentous occasion with any class of inductees, the 1974 Baseball Hall of Fame festivities were even more festive in that Bronx Bomber teammates Mickey Mantle and Whitey Ford were honored and, because of concerns over crowd control, the former player was to never return for an induction ceremony. From Mantles lone appearance at the gala event, this OAL MacPhail baseball was autographed by (24) inductees. The creamy orb (grade 7) has black or blue ballpoint scriptings whose strengths vary. Keys include: Coveleski (9 strength), Grove (7-8), Mantle (8-9), Marquard (8), Medwick (7), Musial (8) and Paige (9). Full photo LOA from JSA. More on our website.
