Brave endeavors in American aviation are the theme in this pairing of historically significant relics. Individually framed to 20-1/2 x 26-1/2”, the displays are each headlined by a 2x2 piece of actual airplane fabric with: Vin Fiz from 1911 first U.S. transcontinental flight; ”Chicago” Douglas World Cruiser #2 from 1924 first round-the-world flight. Both planes underwent restoration at the Smithsonian Institution, National Air and Space Museum, at which time these fabric pieces were removed. Individual COAs from Smithsonian Institution.
